In 2014, Vita Polymers Poland (VPP) sales of PLN 298m and a profit in excess of PLN71m. The firm employs 300 staff in Poland.
Vita opened its first conversion site at Szymanow in 1993. This was followed by investment in a state of the art greenfield facility at Brzeg Dolny, near Wroclaw in the South West of Poland.
The first commercial blocks of foam came off the production line at Brzeg Dolny in July 1994. Since then the site has seen steady investment to maintain the quality of production and expand its product range.
In 1998 a second modern block foam manufacturing plant opened at Lublin site in the east of the country, followed by expansion of VPP’s foam conversion capacity also in other regions.
Nowadays, in total VPP has nine business units across five sites, including two block foam production facilities and the Vita Liquid Polymers unit which, amongst other specialties, manufactures water-based adhesives for foam bonding.
The foundation of VPP’s business has been primarily service to the furniture and bedding, as well as technical foam solutions for various other industries. VPP can supply a full range of block and converted standard polyether foam, flame retardant foam (FR), combustion modified polyether foam (flame retardant), filler free combustion modified polyether foam (flame retardant), high resilience foam (HR), combustion modified HR foam (CMHR), rebond foam, viscoelastic foam and viscoelastic combustion modified foam.
In 2015, VPP, supported by sister company Caligen, established a technical round block facility supplying peeled polyester foam for automotive rolled goods customers. This facility enables round block ester and ether conversion, as well as reticulated ester and ether for many technical applications to customers in the region.
