When Schutze-Schuhe decided to create a range of ESD safety footwear, the business began looking for a new Europe-based polyurethane supplier.
Schutze-Schuhe and Huntsman created a bespoke soling solution based on Huntsman’s Daltoped dual density technology, at the Huntsman footwear technology centre in Everberg, Belgium.
The Austrian company soon began using the Daltoped-based material to create a compact polyurethane outsole with a foamed, soft polyurethane midsole.
Schutze-Schuhe ceo Thomas Schutzeneder said: “Our business makes shoes and boots that are tough and are designed to have a long working life but are comfortable enough to be worn eight hours a day, week after week.
Stefan Mack, sales manager for footwear mid-Europe at Huntsman, said the European footwear market is growing strongly.
