Milan, Italy – Polyurethane panel machinery maker Ekosystem has moved into new larger premises and is completing its largest machine, the company said in a telephone call.
The firm moved to a new 1000m² factory, located in Desio, about 30km (19miles) north east of Milan, in September 2015, according to Marta Romano, marketing, at the firm. She added that there is an additional 200m² of office space at the site.
Romano added that the firm, which had taken on technical staff ahead of the move was due to complete the construction of a 30m double metal-faced rigid panel line in early- to mid-December. “Moving to new premises made it possible for us to complete such a large machine,” Romano said.
She added that although the company had moved to a bigger building it intends to retain a small company approach to business “our customers are not numbers,” she said. They are widely spread in countries such as Angola, India and the UAE, she added.
Figures filed from the local chamber of commerce at of Monza e Brianza show that Ekosystems saw sales and profitability grow markedly between 2013 and 2014. In 2013 sales were EUR2.4m ($2.5m) and in the 2014 financial year they reached EUR3.7m and profit was EUR120,000 in 2014 compared with EUR 24,496 in 2013.
