St. Louis, Missouri — Accella Polyurethane Systems has announced that it will be investing in the Bullet Liner brand polyurea spray-on coating for the transportation industry.
Accella acquired the Bullet Liner product line as part of its acquisition of Burtin Polymer Laboratories in September 2015. This was part of a burst of activity which saw Accella purchase three PU firms in two days. Burtin pioneered polyurea spray-on bed liners over 23 years ago with colour-fast spray-on technology, said Accella in a release.
The company said it will invest in the spray foam technology, add branding partnerships, double the number of installers in the US and strengthen marketing with demand and lead generation tools to support installers.
Andy Harris, president and ceo of Accella Performance Materials implied that the Bullet Liner range may expand to include polyurethane spray-on systems. He said: “We believe that Accella’s pioneering role in the advancement of custom-formulated polyurethane systems is truly the perfect match to build on Bullet Liner’s existing heritage of spray and sealant innovation.”
