St Louis, Missouri – Accella Performance Materials has been given a Performance Improvement Award by US specialty chemicals trade association SOCMA.
It was presented at the association’s annual dinner in New York, on 5 December 2016, and is the second year the company has received this award.
The award was made in recognition of efforts made by the company’s polyurethane systems division to improve environmental protection, health, safety and security at its facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
“We are very pleased to have received this prestigious honour in recognition of the work that our company and employees have done to further our commitment to the EHS&S program,” said Andy Harris, Accella’s president and chief executive.
He added: “Accella is deeply committed to advancing the principles of safety, environmentally responsible manufacturing and sustainability across all of our eight US facilities – and our Rancho Cucamonga location is no exception. These values and practices are interwoven throughout everything we do as a company and guide manufacturing protocols for each of our business units.”
