Ashington, UK – Polyurethane foam parts maker Active Composites won a contract to produce 600,000 armrest inserts for Nissan’s Qashqai - What Car? magazine’s Car of the Year 2014.
Active Composites founder Alan Harold said: “We only moved in to the new building in early December and yet we've already produced more than 37,000 armrests.
“We're well on track to complete the full order to the specification required.”
A £70,000 loan from the Business Northumberland High Growth Programme allowed the company to fund a move to a new plant.
