Bethesda, Maryland -- The Adhesive and Sealant Council, Inc is to provide the first-ever Adhesive and Sealant pavilion at the American Composites Manufacturer's Association (ACMA) Composites 2011 event, which will be held February 2-4, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Adhesive and sealant manufacturers, suppliers and consultants will use the pavilion to showcase the multitude of fastening and sealing solutions offered to the many market segments that use composites. As part of the industry partnership, ASC will also host an education session for conference attendees to broaden their knowledge of adhesives and sealants, it said in a 29 Nov press release.

"Adhesives and sealants play a critical role in bonding composite materials together, offering several design and manufacturing benefits," said Matthew Croson, ASC president. "The Adhesive and Sealant Pavilion at Composites is an excellent opportunity to bring product innovation and focused, educational content to this important market segment. We look forward to a successful partnership with ACMA that delivers on the promise to broaden the value offered to the design-engineering community, which is clearly looking for as many solutions as possible at a single location."

Several ASC member companies have already committed to exhibit either in the pavilion or elsewhere on the exhibit floo, including: Albion Engineering Company; Arkema, Inc.; Ashland, Inc.; Bayer MaterialScience, llc; The ChemQuest Group, Inc.; Eastman Chemical Company; Graco, Inc.; Hexion Specialty Chemicals; ITW; Kenrich Petrochemicals, Inc.; and Sika Corp.

"We're always looking to provide additional value to Composites attendees," said Tom Dobbins, chief staff officer of ACMA. Feedback from last year's event indicated that attendees were looking for more products and solutions relating to adhesives and sealants, making a partnership with ASC a logical enhancement to the existing event. "Having an exhibit pavilion and education programming with this kind of focus really expands the scope of Composites," added Heather Rhoderick, Director, Conventions and Education of ACMA.

Composites is the largest event of its kind in North America, attracting nearly 3000 participants from every segment of the industry. The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) is a North American trade association dedicated to representing the adhesive and sealant industry. Incorporated in 1958, ASC is bound by the collective efforts of its members, and strives to improve the industry operating environment and strengthen its member companies. ASC members represent more than 75 percent of the US industry. The Council is comprised of 114 adhesive and sealant manufacturers, raw material and equipment suppliers, distributors and industry consultants.
