Burscheid, Germany – As the market for shared cars is likely to develop in the future, Adient has introduced a range of removable seat covers.

‘With more people joining ride-sharing organisations, keeping the vehicles clean enhances the experience,’ said Nick Petouhouff, executive director of engineering at the firm.
The covers are designed to be washed at 30C (86F) and removing the cover will not damage the foam structure of the cover or seat, said the firm.
Seat cushion covers can be individualised with ink-jet printed designs, they could also be an affordable way for owners to give their vehicles a face-lift, the Adient added.
