Wilmington, Massachusetts - Biomaterials developer AdvanSource Biomaterials Corp. will be promoting its new Chronosil thermoplastic silicone polycarbonate urethane at Medtec Ireland Medical Design and Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference, being held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Galway, Ireland, 23-25 Sept 2009.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to initiate the first phase of our new material product launch, ChronoSil, a thermoplastic silicone polycarbonate urethane," at the Galway show, said Khristine Carroll, AdvanSource's vice president of sales and marketing, in a company statement.
ChronoSil maintains the inherent benefits of a polycarbonate-based urethane, including high pressure resistance, tensile-strength and superior chemical resistance and combines them with silicone's industry-recognised advantages such as heightened elongation, superior elasticity and a low coefficient of friction, Carroll added.
Medtec Ireland is the largest event dedicated to industry professionals engaged in the design and manufacturing of medical devices in the country. Each year it offers over 900 visitors and over 100 exhibitors the ability to see the latest innovations and technologies that will form the basis for the next generation of medical devices. Representatives of AdvanSource Biomaterials management and sales staff will be available at booth 206.
