Gujarat, India – Aether Industries has signed a letter of intent with Saudi Aramco Technologies for a licensing agreement for polyols. It covers the manufacturing and commercialisation at Aether of the Converge polyols technology and product. The two companies jointly developed the technology, and validated it at commercial scale.
The process creates polyols containing up to 40% CO2 by weight. The polyols have applications in the CASE field, offering a reduction in carbon footprint.
An announcement of the first commercial product launch using the technology, involving a third partner, is expected soon.
