Cartersville, Georgia -- Burtin Polymer Laboratories (BPL) said 21 Dec that it has informed Mac Hess, ceo of local spray foam company Premium Spray Products, of the following changes. These follow the ending of a private label supply agreement for BPL to make 0.5 lb and 1.8 lb foam systems for Premium Spray Products.
Burtin Polymer Labs said as a result it will no longer provide ICC (US International Code Council) listings for 0.5 lb open-cell insulation foam products (ICC ESR 2580) and 1.8 lb closed-cell insulation foam (ICC ESR 3130).
Polyurethane systems supplier Burtin Polymer Laboratories (BPL) carries out research, development, and commercialisation of PU systems for commercial roofing, commercial and residential insulation, flotation, adhesives, packaging, spray elastomers and custom moulding products.
The company recently launched Bullet Liner products, primarily aimed at pickup truck beds, tailgates, wheel wells and other similar vehicle protection applications.
Also, part of Burtin's products is Foametix Spray Foam Insulation -- low density, polyurethane spray-applied foam insulation systems designed for residential and commercial/industrial building applications.
Burtin said it also continues to develop "some of the very few blast mitigation products tested and approved by the US Military and utilised by the US government in the refurbishment of the Pentagon after the 9/11 attacks."
Burtin Polymer Labs has a 14-acre modern facility in Cartersville, Georgia, with warehousing and service operations located in seven states.
Premium Spray Products of Marietta, Georgia, manufactures spray foam systems for homes, office buildings, institutions, and agricultural structures and is known for the Foamsulate brand of closed-cell and open-cell foam systems.
