Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Speciality chemicals producer Albemarle Corp., is raising prices for two Ethacure types, from 1 Oct. 2010 or as contracts allow.
The increases are:
10 percent for Ethacure 100 curatives on Europe and Americas shipments; and
5 percent on Ethacure 300 curatives globally.
Albemarle's curatives business is part of the company's polymer solutions business segment.
Albemarle describes the Ethacure materials as diamine chain extenders/crosslinkers, used to cure polyurethanes, epoxies and polyureas.
The liquid curatives are "easy to use, mix, meter and dispense allowing our customers to easily adjust reaction time, eliminate dust exposure, save time and improve product characteristics," the company adds.
