Krefeld, Germany -- Alberdingk Boley has unveiled a new polyurethane polyol for carpark deck and crack bridging applications made from renewable resources.
Albodur 904 has high elongation values at low temperatures as well as a good tensile strength, Alberdingk Boley claim. The company said that cross-linking it with an appropriate aromatic polyisocyanate allows for PU coatings and adhesives with crack-bridging properties to be formulated.
According to the company, the low glass transition temperature allows a 400% break elongation and tensile strength of 15N/mm² at a temperature of –20°C.
Thomas Baur, head of sales architectural dispersions and oils, said: “In line with our product philosophy, Albodur 904 is hydrophobe, with a low viscosity that provides a good ventilation and can easily be processed.”
