Romulus, Michigan -- Alliance Polymers and Services llc is adding about 6000 sq.ft to its 18 000-sq.-ft plant in Romulus to handle a growing production base.
APS principals Roger Huarng and Stephane Morin said in a joint statement that growing sales from a larger base of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and thermoplastic urethanes (TPUs), the addition of a full production line, a product testing lab and the need for more storage and inventory were the driving forces behind the expansion.
The company said it is also engaged in an aggressive hiring mode for internal sales personnel and independent representatives throughout the US.
APS plans to store as much as 40 percent more kinds and volume of thermoplastic elastomers, including styrenic-based TPEs, TPVs (thermoplastic vulcanisates) and TPUs.
