Villeurbanne, France -- Hikob, a French company which specialises in collecting real-world data in real-time has chosen a polyurethane potting system from Allrim to protect sensors designed to monitor the movements of cars, Allrim said.
Allrim said its Allrane 14780 px two-component polyurethane potting compound was chosen because it has sufficient flexibility to handle differential expansion of materials. Additionally, the material is sufficiently hard for the sensor, which collects data for Hikob, to fit well. The material has Shore A 90 hardness, has good adhesion to road-building materials and weathers well, said Allrim.
