Arlington, Texas - American Excelsior Co. has introduced its new Earth-Flex product line, a range of environmentally friendly flexible and urethane-moulded foams made from renewable sources, a 26 July company statement said.
Earth-Flex foams are made from a variety of renewable resources including soya polyols, as opposed to the oil-based alternatives normally used in the manufacture of flexible foams, for manufacturers with a need to be "green," the company said.
With five manufacturing sites across the US, American Excelsior supplies flexible foam to the furniture, packaging, medical, recreational products, automotive and marine industries as well as moulded urethane foams for applications including medical and commercial seating.
"The addition of Earth-Flex to our Flexible Foam Division completes our goal to offer "green" products across all divisions of American Excelsior Company," said the company's vice-president of sales and marketing, Ken Starrett. (RD)
