Vancouver, Canada -- American Insulock Inc. has filed for a patent with the US Patent and Trademark Office of its new invention that allows plastic pieces to be manufactured into its polyurethane block product.
The plastic screw strips will provide a place for contractors to more easily attach drywall to the interior of the block and sidings to the exterior of the block, the company said.
The screw strips will form a pattern on the wall when the blocks are stacked and this pattern is what the contractor will use to secure this product.
"This new invention will let contractors take a new approach working with the Insulock block," Robert Jamieson, Insulock president and screw strip inventor, said.
"The Insulock block is now the most advanced block in the building industry.""
