Boulder City, Nevada - Amerityre Corp., a developer of polyurethane tyre technologies, announced 7 Oct that it has shipped five light-weight tyre-fill machines for its PU foam used in the commercial tyre-fill market.
The company said that each machine is expected to pump between 100 000 to 200 000 lb of fill material per year adding that the capacity of the machines is more than 500 000 lb per year. Amerityre expects to place six additional machines with customers this autumn, the company added.
The machines are being sold in combination with Amerfill, the company's tyre-fill material, based on "premier "flat-free" closed-cell, environmentally friendly polyurethane foam technology," the company said.
"Amerfill can be used in many tyre applications including construction, industrial, and mining applications to "flat-proof" and extend the life of rubber tyres. We have shown that Amerfill performs better under loads, runs cooler, and is more durable than current comparable materials. We have evaluated Amerfill in the field and in side-by-side comparison testing conducted by independent test laboratories. These evaluations and tests demonstrate that in many applications both the fill weight and cost can be significantly reduced by switching from the current oil based, environmentally hazardous fill materials to Amerfill," said Amerityre president and ceo, Gary Benninger.
