Boulder City, Nevada - Amerityre Corp.'s Dr Gary Benninger, president and chief executive officer, made two presentations on 18 Sept as an invited speaker at the International Tire Exhibition and Conference (ITEC) in Akron, Ohio, North America's original home for tyre research, development and manufacturing.
Benninger will first present a status report on the Amerityre pneumatic polyurethane passenger car tyre, covering the group's successful completion of FMVSS 139 testing on a 245/45R17 polyurethane passenger car tyre. He will also discuss Amerityre's efforts to continue prototype manufacturing operations to further evaluate tire properties and to finalise process elements to achieve a production rate of one tyre per minute.
ITEC typically attracts 2500 visitors from as many as 20 countries, Amerityre pointed out, with attendees including tyre plant technical directors, plant managers,
manufacturing managers, tyre development personnel, compounders,
chemists, chemical engineers, materials engineers, as well as tyre designers, tyre
performance engineers, and experts in quality assurance, testing, product analysis product development and mould design.
In Amerityre's second presentation -- on price competitive high volume solid polyurethane tyre production -- Benninger will discuss the company's process for manufacturing cost-competitive MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) polyurethane solid tyres at a high rate of production and also present laboratory and vehicle test data. In addition, a detailed pricing model will be presented to demonstrate competitive pricing of the MDI polyurethane tyre with a solid rubber tyre. Performance and manufacturing economics will also be discussed.
The three-day ITEC event features a trade show with more than 100 global exhibitors and ample opportunities to network with hundreds of tyre industry professionals from around the world.
