Boulder City, Nevada - Amerityre Corp., a developer of polyurethane tyre technologies, has shipped a new line of long-wearing polyurethane forklift tyres to Virginia, US-based K-2 Industrial Tire Inc. for global distribution.
The Kryon brand will offer press-on tyres for the forklift industry with the "unique, proprietary" polyurethane formulations developed by Amerityre, the statement said.
According to Amerityre, Kryon tyres are made of non-marking PU, "a significant advantage over non-marking rubber tyres that are usually priced at a premium to regular rubber tyres," the company said, adding that Kryon PU tyres may allow tyre dealers to reduce inventories by half.
"In our tests, these tyres have proven to last longer than rubber forklift tyres, are non-marking, and are manufactured utilising environmentally friendly chemicals with minimum energy consumption," said Amerityre ceo, Michael Kapral. "This technology makes the tyres unique in the industry," he added. (RD)
