Mumbai, India -- Polyurethane systems supplier Amritchem has changed its name to Amrit Polychem Pvt Ltd (APPL), with effect from 1 April 2012, the Mumbai-based company has announced.
Amrit is a Mumbai-based systems house, which imports base polyols and MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate), the latter from Japan and China, to make systems for local use and export.
The company focuses on rigid systems for insulation and telecoms shelters and cooling boxes.
Amrit imports base polyols and blends them with catalyst and blowing agent at its Mumbai location, for shipment all over India, supplying around 6 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa).
The company also exports to neighbouring countries -- Bangladesh and Pakistan - as well as to Africa.
