Clinton Township, Michigan – Private equity investor The Riverside Company has made an investment in Xcentric Mold & Engineering.
The cash input, for an undisclosed sum, will enable the company to finish a second factory that will double its production capacity. It will also permit further investment in machinery and robotics, and an expansion of its sales and marketing operations.
Xcentric provides custom injection moulding, rapid prototyping and CNC machining services, including cast urethane, to industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to medical devices, electronics and consumer products.
The company claims its proprietary software, systems and processes allow mould tooling and and injection moulded parts more quickly and cheaply than traditional injection moulding processes, in quantities ranging from one part to 100,000.
