Hefei, Anhui — Anli Artificial Leather is to start full operation of its 22m metre/year functional PU leather project in early 2016, the company’s board secretary Liu Songxia told UTECH-polyurethane.com.
The project is located in Taohua Industrial Park in Hefei, Anhui, where the company is based, and has RMB 110m ($17m) investment earmarked. Less than half of the total capacity has been put into operation so far, said Liu.
The company claims to be China’s largest synthetic leather exporter in value, selling to over 70 countries and regions, and currently has close to 100m m/year PU leather capacity and 70kT/year PU resin capacity. It employs over 2,500 staff with a total area of 350,000 m².
Anli also has an 8.5m m/year waterborne/solvent-free functional PU leather project pending regulatory approval. Construction of the project will take 18 months. The project has RMB 145m total investment and is expected to bring in RMB 29m annual profit on RMB 216m revenue when in operation.
