Romulus, Michigan – APS Elastomers has launched what it describes as an “economical grade injection-moulded TPU” – a low cost polyester-based TPU suitable for hard shoe heels and roller wheel applications. Available in a hardness range of Shore A to Shore D 64, it also exhibits good mechanical and processability properties, said APS Elastomers.
Stephane Moran, owner of APS Elastomers, said: “Our ability to custom compound material allows us to eliminate certain formulations not needed for less demanding applications and in turn we can pass these savings on to our customers.”
