Westland, Michigan – APS Elastomers is moving 10 miles (16 km) north from Romulus and plans to double TPU and styrenic TPE capacity in a new plant. Both locations are Detroit suburbs.
The company sources materials from around the world, develops new elastomers, and supplies technical service. The larger site has room for a new product testing lab.
'Thanks to our customers' steady volume increase over the past few years, we decided to purchase a larger facility to handle substantial growth,' said co-owner Stephane Morin.
His co-owner Roger Huarng added: 'The company's mission is to provide quick, affordable solutions with high performance results.'
Morin and Huarng founded APS after working in the TPE field for several years. APS now works with a series of independent technical agents located in cities throughout North America.
