Norwalk, Connecticut -- Arch Chemicals Inc. has signed an agreement with Daicel Chemical Industries Inc. under which Arch will market Daicel's polycaprolactone and polycarbonate polyols in the North and South American markets, under the trade names of Poly-T and Poly-CD.
"Daicel offers a wide range of high quality polycaprolactone and polycarbonate polyols in other parts of the world," said Bob Koroshetz, general manager of Performance Urethanes for Arch Chemicals, in an 11 Dec statement.
"These products represent yet another important extension to our growing urethanes polyol product line, making Arch an even more valuable partner to our customers," he added.
Polycaprolactone and polycarbonate polyols are used in high-end coating, adhesive and elastomer applications such as fabric coatings, contact and hot-melt adhesives and shoe soles.
Tokyo-based Daicel is a producer of caprolactone derivatives as well as other high-performance chemicals and intermediates for the pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals industries. (ss)
