Gwinn, Michigan – Argonics has introduced the OTR Sidewall Protector to reduce the chances of tyres on industrial vehicles being in punctured in the sidewall. The flange protector takes 15 minutes to install.

Sidewall protector: prevention better than cure
It is not safe to operate vehicles with damaged sidewalls, and while they can be repaired, this takes time and is not guaranteed to work. The alternative is a replacement tyre, but the large tyres on industrial machinery are very expensive.
The OTR Sidewall Protector is made from durable polyurethane. Argonics says urethane materials are ideal for this purpose because they can withstand abrasion, cutting and tearing. The material also has the ability to change shape under heavy load pressure, then return to its original shape once the load is removed.
It is initially being launched to fit 29.5R25 sized tyres. The company is planning to add further sizes in the near future.
