Oak Brook, Illinois-A three-day advanced seminar in the UK on rotational moulding, with hand-on workshops, aims to introduce this production process to the uninitiated. The meeting, being organised by the Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) International, takes place 4-6 July 2005 at ICO Polymers UK Ltd, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England. Prof Roy Crawford, vice-chancellor at the University of Waikato, New Zealand, is presenting the seminar, which will offer "an understanding of rotational moulding, through presentations and four practical workshops," said ARM. Several industry guest speakers will be on hand to assist with the presentations, according to the association. Topics which speakers and workshops will cover range from polymer grinding and moulding operations, to the effects of mould-release agents and pigments/foam, together with post-moulding operations. Discussions will also cover advanced rotomolding concepts, computer simulation of rotomolding and more, the organisers say. Attendees will gain "hands-on" experience using laboratory rotational moulding equipment and will be able to conduct trials, ARM adds. Online registrations are now being accepted for the seminar, which costs $1650. for ARM International members and $1895 for non-members. More info from ARM International, website www.rotomolding.org "
