Bethesda, Maryland -- The US Adhesive and Sealant Council and the Edison Welding Institute (EWI) are jointly hosting a webinar Thursday 4 June, at 10:00 to 11:15 (EST), taught by Dr George Ritter, who the organisers say is an expert in many types of adhesive bonding.
ASC says participants will:
• Learn about proper surface preparation techniques to improve adhesion reliability;
• Discover best practices in joint design; and
• Gain familiarity with methods used to bond special combinations of metals, plastics or both.
According to the organisers, this is "a practical course with hands-on information you can put to use right away." Teacher Ritter is, says ASC, a "noted researcher and expert in composites-metals bonding using adhesives, weld-bonding of metal structures and marine applications involving structural adhesives."
Ritter specialises in adhesive bonding systems and processes, relating to the automotive, aerospace, general industrial, electronics, and medical industries and has over 25 years of experience in industrial product R&D. He regularly leads industrial training forums in adhesives, polymeric materials, formulation, and composite materials.
