Bethesda, Maryland - The US Adhesives and Sealants Council (ASC) is to hold a webinar on 20 June at 10.30 am eastern standard time on monitoring MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) in spray polyurethane foam use.
ASC says the webinar is recommended for companies involved in the manufacture or end use of uncured MDI-containing products in applications where members of the public can be exposed.
The webinar is part of a number of "value propositions" proposed by ASC in March 2011. ASC's president, Matt Croson, said 18 June that the organisation and its member volunteers have delivered on a range of aspirations. For example, ASC launched a completely revamped website, giving technical engineers from ASC member companies opportunities to engage and dialogue with end users. It also added nine new members in the first two quarters of 2012.
The organisation held a successful convention and expo which drew 450+ attendees to Denver for two and a half days of education, networking and industry dialogue, Croson said. Also, ASC partnered with Fomo to develop an ASC Training Academy programme focused on MDI/TDI testing for spray foam products, in order for members to model an approach taken from another affiliated industry. The 20 June webinar is part of this training academy.
Croson noted that ASC has a number of programmes in process. The organisation's committees will be reviewing staff recommendations on future ASC training academy content development efforts. It also plans to revamp efforts to alert and respond to issues impacting our industry. ASC is also developing a plan to expand its current expo to incorporate more suppliers.
