Rochester Hills, Michigan-Rapid prototyper Auburn Engineering Inc. is to expand its offerings to cover design, development, engineering, testing, prototype, and low-volume production.
Reid Scott, president of Auburn Engineering, said, "The high cost of manufacturing lends itself to expanded rapid prototype services. The Rochester Hills-based company's services cover product design, tooling design, plastics injection moulding, part assembly, use of rapid prototype parts and mould production.
Auburn Engineering is a division of Dynetics Inc. offering rapid prototyping and low-volume production to automotive, defence, heavy truck, dental, and a variety of consumer product manufacturers. As well as comprehensive tooling facilities, it has stereolithography and selective laser sintering capabilities.
