Whaley Bridge, UK -- Polyurethane processors across three continents can sleep easy says Philip Hindson, former director of OMS (UK) Ltd, now managing director of AutoRIM Ltd. Hindson has purchased the entire spare parts stock of OMS (UK) Ltd following the closure of that company late 2012.
This stock, with a book value in excess of £700 000 ($1.12 million), is currently being catalogued and made available for sale, said Hindson, in a 16 Jan announcement.
When Hindson formed AutoRIM in 2005 he bought from OMS (UK) the intellectual property of Autopress Ltd, designers and manufacturers of UK-built special -purpose dispensing equipment for syntactic foam (GSPU), high output elastomer machines, hydraulic press equipment, turntables, mould carriers and other mechanical handling.
Since the closure of OMS (UK) many former customers have enquired whether AutoRIM could assist them. AutoRIM employs former senior OMS (UK) personnel, and by buying the stock, AutoRIM is now offering worldwide a complete support range for products and services.
The OMS (UK) stock includes high and low pressure mix heads, pumps, mixers, barrels, dedicated processing units, flow valves, seal kits, control panels, and electronic cards, etc. etc.
The equipment is so extensive that AutoRIM has had to build a mezzanine platform in its spare parts department, where an extensive range of products for all makes of polyurethane processing machinery was already available.
