Whaley Bridge, UK - AutoRIM Ltd, a British manufacturer of polyurethane machinery, has developed a new eco-friendly manufacturing process for interlocking polyurethane cold storage panels, which it supplied to Finnebacks AB of Sweden, the company said recently.
Using timber from the forests of Sweden, AutoRIM has incorporated eco-friendly heat from the surrounding land into the manufacturing process to improve cycle times and allow temperature accuracy to +/-1 deg C, ensuring even density distribution of the chemicals.
The two 6.3-metre AutoRIM side-loading presses are linked by a single 16-metre long head track system, conveying a Hennecke MX foam dispensing mixing head. This is used for the injection of PU foam chemicals supplied to Finnebacks by BaySystem Northern Europe (BSNE).
Commenting on its inspection of the panel system, Finnebacks managing director Johan Wastlund said, "we like what we were shown, particularly the thoughtful and ergonomic design incorporated into the manufacturing cell so that routine maintenance can be undertaken with ease by any member of our workforce."
