Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Axalta has introduced a new polyurethane-based wood coating product designed to enhance wood surfaces while protecting them. Imron Industrial Wood represents an expansion into a new market for the company.
The coatings are durable and formaldehyde-free, the company claimed. They are compatible with various spray application methods, and have rapid dry and sand times.
The company says the products are suitable for interior wood surfaces, including cabinetry, tables, chairs and office furniture. They can also be used on architectural millwork.
‘The Imron Industrial brand has always stood for high quality and performance, and that’s what customers will be getting with our new polyurethane wood coatings products,’ said Dave Heflin, Axalta’s vice president for global industrial liquid coatings.
