Paris -- PU resin and epoxy maker Axson Technology is opening a new plant in China, with plans for a site in India by the end of 2011.
The French company hopes to triple its operations in China with the development of a new plant aimed at the dielectrics and wind turbine market, Axson said in a 17 Feb press release.
The opening is part of the company's international development strategy launched in 1994, according to the release. As well as six research and development centres globally, the firm has production units in France, Slovakia, Mexico, Japan, China and the US. The proposed Indian unit will be Axson's first site in the country.
"We are developing our resins in close cooperation with customers to meet their requirements in Europe, the US and Japan and we then adapt the formula locally on our production site," said Axson ceo, Lionel Puget.
He added, "Our structure means we can develop products in Europe then transfer them to Asia for production using the country's raw material resources." LMH
