Kalamazoo, Michigan - Azon has launched a new methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) -based performance polyurethane for use in high-abrasion applications.
The Azo-Cast R1120 and Azo-Cure 1009 (US patents 6830705 and 6767985) are intended to be used in high-wear applications, such as vibratory bowl linings, aggregate screening, belting and material handling equipment.
Azon said in a statement that the new products would promote greater health and safety through its non-methylene ortho-bis (chloroaniline), non-toluene diisocyanate and non-mercury catalyst features.
''Additionally, the elastomer's resistance to high-abrasion degradation offers the added bonus of increasing a product's longevity,'' the company said."
