Manama -- Bahrain's initiatives in the use of green technologies in insulation, refrigeration and air-conditioning will come under the spotlight at a two-day conference and exhibition starting today (10 Jan 2012).
The event, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, aims to cement Bahrain's position as a destination of choice for such events, said a press statement.
Sixty exhibitors have signed up for the show, being held under the patronage of Works Minister Essam Khalaf. More than 2500 delegates from Bahrain and overseas are expected to attend.
"Bahrain has taken a lead in the use of green technologies in building and construction but another vital component is electrical fittings, plumbing, refrigeration and air-conditioning," said Arabian Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Insulation and Refrigeration Exhibition organiser Sijo Joseph, in the statement.
"Engineers and designers in Bahrain are already making rapid strides in this area and several novel solutions are being implemented in ongoing and upcoming projects," Joseph added.
