Nanjing, China - BASF and its joint venture partner, Sinopec, are looking to expand ethylene oxide capacity at Nanjing. The firms are currently undertaking a feasibility study, and notimeline for completion is available, said Holger Kap, a BASF spokesman.
Currently the site has capacity for 330,000 tonne/year of the chemical.
Ethylene oxide is a building block used to make polyols.
