Wyandotte, Michigan -- BASF Corp. said 1 Nov that it has appointed P.T. Hutchins Co. as its west coast distributor for urethane chemicals to the CASE (coatings, adhesives & binders, sealants and elastomers) market. BASF supplies Lupranate aromatic MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) and TDI (toluene diisocyanate) and Pluracol polyether and graft copolymer polyols into the CASE market.
BASF has world-scale production facilities in Geismar, Louisiana, and a strong presence in the CASE market selling both direct and via distribution channels. Adding P.T. Hutchins to the west coast strengthens BASF's presence nationwide and further emphasises the strategic importance of this segment, said a company statement.
