By David Reed, UT EditorWyandotte, Michigan- BASF has appointed James Peterson as National Accounts Manager for its Urethane Chemicals business in North America.Peterson is now responsible for sales of BASF's urethane chemicals for coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers applications in the United States. He has been with BASF for five years, most recently as regional product manager for BASF's automotive OEM coatings business in North America.BASF's Urethane Chemicals business supplies the raw materials TDI (toluene diisocyanate), MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate), and polyether polyols for applications in the construction, flexible foam, rigid insulation, appliance, furniture, packaging, transportation, commercial adhesives and sealants, and foundry industries, among others.Peterson has previously worked for The Toro Company, Bloomington, Minnesota, and Hormel Foods, Austin, Minnesota, in various business-administration positions before joining BASF. He has a master's of business administration degree in marketing and finance from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and bachelor's degrees in economics and Spanish from the University of Minnesota-Duluth."
