Shanghai, China – BASF announced in March it is to demonstrate anti-run hosiery produced with its Elastollan TPU at the 28th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, or Chinaplas 2014, at Shanghai New International Expo Centre during April 23 – 26.
The hosiery uses spandex yarn made with melt spun TPU fibers. The fiber production process is solvent free and meets the requirements of Oeko-Tex Standard 100, a textile assessing standard set up by Swiss-based group Oeko-Tex. The fiber is also used in the packaging and medical sectors.
