Beachwood, Ohio -- BASF Construction Chemicals has completed a one-year, multi-million dollar expansion at its Brighton, Colorado, polyurethane sealants and adhesives production facility, raising capacity by more than 25 percent.
The company said, in a 4 Feb statement, that the increase in will "help us to maximise service to our customers and ensure that we can consistently meet the increasing demand for our market leading products."
"As the market leader in this technology, it is essential that we continue to invest in technology, and the necessary manufacturing and packaging equipment to keep us in a leadership position," said John Salvatore, ceo of BASF Construction Chemicals North America, in the statement.
Salvatore said that having BASF as its parent company gives Construction Chemicals the strength, financial resources and long term vision to continue to invest in all areas, including manufacturing, technology and attractive market opportunities.
BASF Construction Chemicals markets an extensive line of PU construction sealants, coatings, and adhesives under the Sonneborn and Chemrex brand names in both North and South America, and around the world.
