Ludwigshafen, Germany -- BASF is increasing its European sales prices for methylamine derivatives as follows:
Dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA) + Euro 100/tonne
Dimethylethanolamine (DMEOA) + Euro 90/tonne
Methylethanolamine (MMEOA) + Euro 85/tonne
Methyldiethanolamine (MDEOA) + Euro 85/tonne
Dimethylformamide (DMF) + Euro 65/tonne
Dimethylacetamide (DMAC) + Euro 50/tonne
The price rises take effect immediately, or as existing contracts permit, said BASF.
Methylamine derivatives are versatile chemical intermediates with a wide range of applications, such as agrochemicals, water treatment and personal care. They also prove valuable in the production of feed additives and organic solvents. BASF produces methylamine derivatives at its sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany; Geismar, Louisiana; Nanjing, China; and Camaçari, Brazil.
