Wyandotte, Michigan -- BASF is introducing a line of high solids graft polyols called Pluracol 5200. The first new product will be Pluracol 5250, which is designed specifically for speciality slab applications, BASF said 19 April.
According to BASF, the 50-percent solids content of Pluracol 5250 allows for firmer foam and can be used in high-load-bearing applications. The polyol can also be customised to a lower percent solids graft at the customer's manufacturing site.
Other products in the line include:
• Pluracol 4600: Designed to maximise the load-bearing properties of flexible slabstock products such as furniture and bedding, and;
• Pluracol 4800: Designed for high-resilience foams and commonly blended with BASF's full line of conventional moulded polyols to make high-load bearing flexible foams. (RD)
