Ludwigshafen, Germany - BASF is developing its Ludwigshafen site in Germany with the addition of a centre for work-life management and the modernisation of office buildings.
BASF said it would also be creating room for a further 180 children at the LuKids day care centre to help staff balance child care and work obligations.
In a 26 Aug statement, BASF said its new centre for work-life management would offer a social counselling service, as well as giving employees the opportunity to make nursing care arrangements for their relatives.
The German company, which produces chemicals for the polyurethanes and plastics industry at the site, will also be increasing capacity for some of its plastics materials.
