Ludwigshafen, Germany - BASF AG is raising the prices of its 1,4 butanediol (BDO) and its derivatives in Europe, effective immediately or as existing contracts allow.
The German chemical giant will lift BDO by €0.17 per kilogram, while its gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), n-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) and polytetrahydrofuran will rise by €0.22 per kilogram.
"The adjustments are necessary to address high energy, raw material and logistic costs," the company said in a statement.
