Florham Park, New Jersey - BASF will raise the price of its butanediol and its derivatives in USA, Canada and Mexico on 1 Oct.
List and off-list prices for 1,4 butanediol (BDO), tetrahydrofuran (THF), PolyTHF polytetramethylene-etherglycol, gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) and n-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) will go up by $0.07 per pound.
BDO and its derivatives are used for production of polyurethanes and elastic fibers, as well as solvents, electronic chemicals and engineering plastics.
