Hong Kong, China -- BASF Polyurethanes has launched a new online resource for the polyurethanes industry in Asia Pacific at www.polyurethanes.asiapacific.basf.com.
The website aims to offer product manufacturers, engineers and designers with comprehensive up-to-date information on polyurethane raw materials, solutions, and innovations, as well as technical services and related expertise accessible in the Asia Pacific region, the company said.
Noting that, "demand for PU products and services has risen to unprecedented levels across a wide range of industries and applications," Dr Melanie Maas-Brunner, senior vice president, BASF Polyurethanes Asia Pacific, said that customers increasingly require useful, up-to-date information on polyurethanes.
"With this online presence, we can further strengthen our support to the polyurethanes industry with easy, instant access to the full breadth of our polyurethanes portfolio," Maas-Brunner added.
BASF aimed for a "lively, interactive and informative experience" with the website, which has market-focused segments -- for appliance, automotive, building and construction, electrics, beddings and furniture as well as sports & leisure, users can see how BASF can optimise applications.
Interactive flash animations add a virtual experience to explore BASF PU applications in the automotive and building construction sectors. And a worldwide contacts list allows visitors to see on an animated global map the closest customer services across BASF's network of worldwide production sites and system houses in Asia Pacific and globally.
