Wyandotte, Michigan - BASF Polyurethanes Basic Products, which supplies Lupranate M20 Series MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) as a binder resin to the wood industry, has opened a Woodbinder Applications and Testing facility in Wyandotte, Michigan.
"BASF is committed to supporting our customers in the engineered wood industry," said Kevin Kilkenny, BASF commercial manager, rigid products in an 8 Dec company statement.
"To maintain our success and grow MDI resin applications in the wood industry, we have expanded our application and testing capabilities, which help our customers. Composite wood medium density fibreboard (MDF) and particleboard (PB) manufacturers are interested in doing business with a resin supplier willing to take a leadership position in the marketplace," he added.
The new 7000-sq.ft (650-sq.m) facility is staffed by a team of wood experts.
