Tianjin, China - BASF said 18 Oct that it has opened a new polyurethane systems house in Tianjin, China, to further expand its global service and production network.
The new facility will "deliver customised polyurethane solutions to its customers, supported by local production, in-house sales, technical service and development teams," BASF's announcement said.
Thesite is also company's eleventh polyurethane systems house in Asia Pacific and the third in Mainland China. It joins a worldwide network of 38 BASF system houses.
"This investment further signifies our commitment to this region and demonstrates our desire to be customers' preferred partner of choice," said Raimar Jahn, president of BASF's Polyurethanes division, in the announcement.
Jahn continued: "The world of polyurethane systems is highly service-orientated and depends heavily on the expertise and competence of its service providers."
